Information for CMA Wiltshire

Welcome

Welcome to the new Wiltshire twig! We are a brand new branch in the making, currently attached to the Bristol branch but aiming to become a fully fledged branch by the next National AGM in April 2027. We are really excited to be part of this new initiative in Wiltshire, & we feel sure that God is leading us to make a difference in the biking community of Wiltshire.

We hold monthly meetings on the 3rd Monday of each month, either an evening of prayer & bible study held at Discovery Church, Markham Road, Wroughton, SN4 9JT, or a business meeting at various venues to include a meal & fellowship. Please see upcoming events for details.

In addition we meet monthly on the first Saturday of each month at Choppers Cafe, Burbage, Wiltshire, SN8 3RT at 10am. This is not only a great gospel opportunity to meet other bikers, but also a chance to have a really good breakfast, followed by a ride out together.

As a new branch in the making we are hoping to support local bike meets in the area, but our main event for this year will be Calne Bike Meet on Saturday 25th July, where we will have a CMA stand. You’ll recognise us by the white crosses on our backs, the biker bibles in our hands, & our willingness to talk anything “bike”!

CMA   Wiltshire Twig/Branch: 3-Year Plan                             March 2026

Year 1 Priorities- To build on progress of ‘Wiltshire Hub’ and establish officers and secure membership and supporter base

·      To build on existing biker establishment relationships started whilst part of the CMA Bristol Branch; monthly Saturday morning meet at 10.00 am, first Saturday of the month at Choppers Cafe, Salisbury Road, Burbage and The Dandy Highwayman Cafe, Labour-in-vain hill, Calne. To meet for breakfast, take biker bibles and develop relationships with staff and visitors.

·      To support Calne Bike Meet as an annual event, taking the lead in the logistics and enrolling support from CMA Bristol Branch in setting up, taking down and manning stand, marshalling on the day, and liaising with and presenting to church contacts, beforehand and on the day if required.

·      To establish a core Wiltshire membership and supporter base, having appointed Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Prayer Coordinator and to ensure spiritual growth through bimonthly prayer meetings and separate bimonthly business meetings and by developing bible study and prayer habits at these meetings.

·      To foster a spirit of togetherness in the team through participation in local ride outs, rallies, ‘Bike Nites’ and social events as well as encouraging attendance at the National Rally, and National and Local AGMs and other regional events.

·      To continue to foster relationships with neighbouring branches of the CMA by attending and serving at events such as;

·      Dorset Nomads Rally and “Sparks Memorial Ride” (Hants and Dorset – May/ Sept)

·      The Lion Rally and Chinnor Bike Dayz (Thames Valley – June and July)

·       Len’s Run (Bristol - 27th-31st August)

·      To continue to maintain a strong bond with Bristol and Somerset, and with SE Wales hub through supporting get-togethers at Baffel Haus.

·      To take a proposal for full branch status to the National AGM in April 2027

·      To foster new church relationships, during Winter months, such as Pattern Church, Swindon, Light Church, Royal Wootton Basset and The Vineyard, Trowbridge.

·      To continue to foster our affiliate relationships with Discovery Church, Wroughton and Maranatha , Trowbridge.

Year one is set to be a period of establishment and consolidation of a new team, so our agenda is, we believe, challenging but not over ambitious.

Year 2 Priorities- to review, reflect and build on Year 1 foundations and to expand membership and geographical reach, within Wiltshire.

·      To find and develop new biker establishments, through membership expansion, targeting Trowbridge and Swindon through existing church connections and Salisbury as a large city with future membership potential. Attendance at Salisbury Bike Night and development of relationships with ‘Sarum Bikers’ to start, this year.

·      To examine supporter base and consider membership development opportunities encouraging use of recognised CMA workbook and video resources.

·      To seek opportunities to promote the Wiltshire Branch through existing local motorcycle clubs, churches and organizations and be prepared to deliver short presentations at breakfast clubs, churches services and other relevant events, explaining the mission and ethos of the CMA, and introducing local team.

Year 3 Priorities - to review, reflect and build on Year 1 and 2 achievements, progress and challenges and to develop leadership within the team to take over key roles

I am no longer my own, but yours

Put me to what you will

Rank me with whom you will

Put me to doing, put me to suffering

Let me be employed for you or laid aside for you

Exalted for you or brought low for you

Let me be full, let me be empty

Let me have all things, let me have nothing

I freely and wholeheartedly yield all things

To your pleasure and disposal
